Our story

Dairy’s Berries is a boutique Strawberry growing operation started by us, a young Waikato couple who have both grown up in rural New Zealand settings.

As children we both come from farming families which we have together, forged a life farming the land as our parents and grandparents have done. It wasn’t until 2018 we decided to diversify our farm so that we could share a bit of what we love to grow and eat throughout our local communities ……delicious summer Strawberries.

In 2019 we dipped out toes in the water (so to speak) and extended our small strawberry patch of 20 plants to a patch of 3000 plants.

We took the season to perfect how we were to grow our berries on a larger scale while holding strong to our values and principles in which we wanted to grow our berries under. Two years later, after committing to the idea we are excited to be able to do just that!

Realising the importance of producing truly nutritionally dense food is for our health and wellbeing we set about learning all the principles behind what makes good food good. This lead us down a pathway which has allowed us to grow our berries in a more holistic way which has also transpired into our entire farming system. By understanding what a healthy soil ecosystem is and how we can assist mother nature in creating and maintaining this we are able to proudly bring our customers high quality produce which we can all enjoy.

Our strawberries

Our strawberries are grown under a system that focuses on soil health, to produce a berry that is truly healthy, nutritious, spray free and sustainable. Something we are very proud of.

We grow nutritious summer Camarosa strawberries. They are a healthy treat packed with vitamins and antioxidants. All of our berries are grown under practices that place a high emphasis on soil health. After all healthy soils produce truly healthy food.
